As the light and life of men was rejected by the ecclesiastical authorities in the days of Christ, so it has been rejected in every succeeding generation. … Few are listening for the voice of God, and ready to accept truth…

 God is with you now. He is listening to your words. He wants to help, 

if you will but let Him. 

Jesus Himself never purchased peace by compromise. 

His heart overflowed with love for the whole human race, 

but He was never indulgent to their sins. 

He was too much their friend to remain silent 

while they were pursuing a course that would ruin their souls,

—the souls He had purchased with His own blood.

We cannot use the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is to use us. Through the Spirit God works in His people “to will and to do of His good pleasure.” (Phil 2:13)

 But many will not submit to this. The power of God awaits their demand and reception. 

This promised blessing, claimed by faith, brings all other blessings in its train. 

It is given according to the riches of the grace of Christ, and He is ready to supply every soul according to the capacity to receive.
